This ₹10,900 crore valued Logistics Startup decided to Move Out Bangalore. Here’s why

BlackBuck, a logistics startup valued at around ₹10,900 crore, has decided to move its office out of Bengaluru. The company’s CEO Rajesh Yabaji said that the main reason was the poor road condition and long commuting hours for employees. Basically, people were spending more than one and a half hours one way just to reach work. The roads around Bellandur, especially on the Outer Ring Road, are actually full of potholes and also with dust. Actually, Yabaji mentioned that nothing seems to improve even after years, so shifting became unavoidable.

Government Reaction

Deputy CM DK Shivakumar reacted strongly. He said no company can threaten or blackmail the government. He also added that Bengaluru still offers talent and opportunities, and if someone is not happy, they are free to move. Usually, his statement sparked debate, as many felt the issue was more about governance than business.

What Government is Doing?

The government has promised repair works. Contractors were given strict deadlines to fix potholes, especially before November. Officials also said they are bringing more areas under the city authority to improve services. Actually, citizens and industry leaders still remain doubtful, but the government insists the city’s problems will be solved soon.
